The White Hart, Ampthill

This week I thought I would feature a setting typical of English Tradition - The Pub, with its rustic feel and intimate warm lighting this has been a favourite for many tourists and locals alike for hundreds of years. I chose the Ampthill pub The White Hart as since its recent refurbishment the interiors have a stronger connection with its traditional 18th Century heritage combined attractively with freshly upholstered furniture and other updated features.

The seated furniture is buttoned for extra comfort and upholstered in leathers and velvets dark and rich in tones combining aubergines, maroons and teals for a homely feel - the models styles themselves vary also reflecting this as well as using a few more contemporary looking armchairs. Lighting highlights textured red brick walls and adds to the accessories around the rooms. Tables are built with glossy dark wood tops or industrial style bases.

All in all a lovely atmosphere and look, to treat yourself to a lunch or dinner in.
